Auto Reclosers

  • An Automatic Circuit Recloser (ACR), or autorecloser, is a self-controlled, pole-mounted switching device that automatically detects an over-current fault on an overhead line, interrupts it and re-closes the circuit to restore supply.
  • Engineered for 11 kV and 33 kV overhead distribution feeders, it clears transient faults caused by lightning, wind-blown branches or birds without leaving consumers in a sustained outage.
  • Built around maintenance-free vacuum interrupters with solid epoxy / SF6 insulation for reliable, environment-friendly switching over a long service life.
  • Controlled by a microprocessor-based numerical controller offering over-current, earth-fault and sensitive earth-fault protection with SCADA / RTU communication for remote operation.
  • Available in single-phase and three-phase (gang-operated) versions for feeder sectionalising, rural electrification and protection coordination.
