Isolators & Disconnectors

  • An isolator (disconnector or isolator switch) is a mechanical, off-load switching device used to visibly isolate a section of an electrical circuit for safe maintenance and inspection.
  • Manufactured for 11 kV, 22 kV and 33 kV medium-voltage substations, switchyards and distribution networks.
  • Provides a positive, visible air-break isolation gap that confirms the isolated section is dead before any work begins.
  • Built with high-grade porcelain / polymer insulators, silver-plated high-conductivity copper contacts and hot-dip galvanised steel structures for a long, corrosion-free life.
  • Available as single-break, double-break and centre-break types, single- or triple-pole, with an optional integral earth switch and manual gang or motorised operation.
