Transformer Manufacturer in Tanzania

If you are searching for a transformer manufacturer in Tanzania, Macroplast Private Limited supplies transformers into the Tanzanian market as part of an export programme reaching more than 60 countries. We are an ISO 9001:2015-certified manufacturer, and it is worth being clear about how we serve Tanzania: we do not operate a factory inside the country. Every transformer is built and tested at our own works in Greater Noida, India, then shipped to your project.

For most buyers that distinction matters less than it sounds, because what a Tanzanian utility, mine, EPC contractor or rural electrification project actually needs is a manufacturer that builds to the right standard, quotes against a real specification and delivers to site. For utilities, mining and industrial operators across Tanzania, an established manufacturer offers a well-understood combination: transformers engineered to international (IEC) standards, a broad product range from a single source, and export handling that keeps documentation and testing straightforward.

Choosing a Transformer Manufacturer for Tanzania

Buyers importing into Tanzania are usually weighing standards compliance, delivered cost and supplier reliability. Those are the terms on which a transformer manufacturer should be judged, and Macroplast is set up for all three.

  • International standards. Transformers are built and tested to IEC 60076 and the corresponding Indian standards, so they meet the specifications utilities and consultants in the region normally call for.
  • Export experience. We have manufactured and exported to more than 60 countries since 1983, so packing, test certification and shipping documentation are routine rather than one-off.
  • One supplier, full range. Distribution, power and instrument transformers, package substations and stabilizers all come from the same works, which simplifies procurement for a mixed order.
  • Specification to your grid. Units are wound to the voltage class, 50 Hz frequency, vector group and cooling your network requires, rather than sold from a fixed catalogue.

Export, Testing and Delivery

Every transformer completes routine testing before dispatch, and pre-dispatch inspection or witness testing can be arranged at the works for your own engineer or a nominated third party. Test certificates are issued against the applicable standard.

Commercial terms — the Incoterm, the port or delivery point in Tanzania, packing and shipping mode — are agreed for each order at the quotation stage, so the delivered scope is clear before you commit.

How to Request a Quotation for Tanzania

To price a transformer accurately we need the rating in kVA or MVA, the primary and secondary voltage, the vector group, whether an on-load or off-circuit tap changer is required, the cooling type, the quantity, and the destination in Tanzania. The frequency for the region is 50 Hz unless you specify otherwise.

If you do not have all of that yet, send what you have. A short conversation with our engineers usually settles the rest faster than a full specification sheet.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are you a transformer manufacturer based in Tanzania?

Not based in Tanzania, no. Macroplast manufactures transformers at its own works in Greater Noida, India, and supplies them to Tanzania and other East African markets. There is no in-country factory or sales office, so orders are handled directly with our engineering and sales team in India.

Which markets in East Africa do you supply?

Our export programme covers more than 60 countries, including markets in East Africa. Tell us your destination country and project, and we will confirm what we can supply and how.

Are the transformers built to IEC standards?

Yes. Transformers are designed and tested to IEC 60076 and the corresponding Indian standards, with insulating oil to IEC 60296 / IS 335.

Can transformers be specified for our local grid?

Yes. Units are wound to the voltage class, 50 Hz frequency, vector group and cooling arrangement your network requires, rather than supplied to a fixed catalogue rating.

Do you provide test certificates and export documentation?

Yes. Routine test certificates are issued against the applicable standard, and the export documentation for each shipment is agreed with you per order.

Do you publish prices?

No. Transformer cost depends on rating, voltage class, losses, tap changer type, fittings and quantity, so every price is quoted against a specification.
